'The Parking Lot' is a collective of five Manchester School of Art students who are collaborating across a range of disciplines, from Fine Art and Art History to Interior Design.

In response to the Stockport based urban farm established by the restaurant 'Where The Light Gets In', 'The Parking Lot' has developed ideas around community engagement and the closed-loop concept.

WTLGI's very own urban farm, where a range of vegetables and fruit is grown for the local community.

"You will find us on top of Merseyway Shopping Centre in the heart of Stockport. The urban farm is part of our story - each story part of a greater narrative of the meal that makes up a sensory experience. Our aim is to grow ingredients produced with precision and responsibility, culminating in a balanced food that both nourishes the body and sustains our ecosystem."

During these unprecedented times, the students have come together to showcase their development through this website, please explore the gallery to find out more.
